Wechsler Technologies is looking for an outgoing customer focused Systems Engineer to assist sales in promoting the company’s products and services. This role involves translating and explaining highly complex technical information to clients, assisting them to solve specific problems. This position must stay abreast of the latest developments and client needs and aids in the development of new company products or product features. This position will require a strong technical understanding of products offered by the company together with excellent interpersonal skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create budgets and proposals for to clients

• Providing pre-sales and post-sales support

• Strategize sales and business development efforts, including attending industry trade shows and conferences

• Organize incoming sales leads from outside sales team

• Visit prospective customers to support sales efforts

• Keep sales pipeline updated using customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

• Assists in reports and developing sales literature

• Aid in the development of new and existing designs for process and safety equipment

• Collaborating with engineering team to determine how products and services could be made or modified to suit the needs of the customer.

• Visit sites for safety, process, and equipment surveys/audits

• Provide general engineering support for existing projects

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology

• 0-5 years relevant experience

• Solid knowledge in MS office.

• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask between engineering assignments and clients

• Ability to efficiently arrive at valid engineering decisions and implement same

• Ability to engage in multiple tasks at a time without losing concentration

• Good temperament to deal with people in all situations

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, manufacturers and workers

• Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals

• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Able to work effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors and customers.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Job will generally be working in the Wechsler Office environment

• May be required to travel to Client’s plants, production facility or industrial/construction job sites.

• Employee will be required to utilize and wear personal safety equipment if on-site in a production environment.

• Position is administered in an extremely fluid, fast paced fashion with multiple high-priority demands

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Travel Frequency up to 30-50%.

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

• Climbing platform access ladders to access remote plant equipment

• Working on high equipment access platforms with open grate flooring

• Coping with higher temperature plant environments

• Work in high noise environments

• Work in an external environment based on plant location

• Work around moving equipment

• The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

• The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl all while wearing required personal protective equipment

• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
